I bought the Schoeps specifically, after I had already a few experiences with borrowed copies of different manufacturers in practice had collected. The Schoeps had convinced in comparison, for example, to the significantly more favorable Neumannerns, so I was ready to take the much higher purchase price on me.

I use them on recordings of all kinds of acoustic instruments in my small studio and as the main emsics for live recordings. They have an elegant, round and extremely natural as well as differentiated sound. All the instruments I have tested (classical guitar, mandolin, violin, cello and double bass) have produced outstanding results. They are robustly built and the capsules are interchangeable. This makes them very flexible, if you have to work with other characteristics.

Only vermouth drops are the holders. These are ordinary microphone clamps, which are properly processed. However, if you want to work with spiders in live recordings, you must purchase them separately and for a comparatively high price.

All in all I am extremely satisfied and after many experiments with acoustic instruments actually use almost only these microphones.

Totally versatile, do not favor any stamp, no frequency, but restoring them with quality and sobriety that can disappoint at first!
We are never surprised by their reactions and by means of serious pre-amps, at the output, there is only sound and good!
