Pearl's updated Roadshow series offers high-quality, comprehensive beginners' drumkits for a fair price. There are a total of three different shell configurations, defined by the size of their bass drum: 18", 20", or 22". And since 2021 the Roadshow sets have also come with either two or three Sabian Solar cymbals; the sets with three cymbals are denoted by the Plus in the product name. In any case, the 7mm shells are all made of nine-ply Asian white poplar wood and have a modern 45° bearing edge. An extensive hardware package from Pearl's 50 Series, consisting of double-braced hardware, a foot pedal with double chain drive, and a drum stool, is included as standard with each drumkit. A stick bag and drumsticks are also included – so the sets come with everything drummers need to just get drumming.

Sabian cymbals as standard

A 22"x16" bass drum and a 14"x5.5" snare drum combine with 10"x8", 12"x9", and 16"x16" toms, making this the largest shell configuration in the Roadshow series. A cymbal set from Sabian, consisting of a 14" hi-hat, a 16" crash, and a 20" ride – as well as all the necessary hardware – rounds off the package. This standard drumkit offers a wide variety of sounds and, with its 7mm shells and its rich, cutting sound, is particularly well-suited to louder genres and styles. The white poplar wood used here is a popular material in starter sets, with acoustic properties comparable to those characteristic of birch wood; poplar sounds a little darker.

The Roadshow 22" can be used for a variety of styles and, thanks to its standard shell sizes and the Sabian cymbal set, is already capable of professional-sounding fills, grooves, and rolls. As a drummer's career progresses, however, this beginner's drumkit can be upgraded as needed. Additional effect cymbals such as a splash or china, a second snare drum model – a metal snare is ideal here for even more tonal variety – and additional toms or percussion instruments can be added to complement and challenge the growing skills of the beginner. Additional hardware, such as a double bass pedal, can add further versatility.

War überrascht wie gut alles verpackt war und wie schnell Thomann das versendet hatte, aber das kennt man ja! Geiler Laden, geiler Service, schneller Versand! (nein, ich arbeite nicht be Thomann)

Zum Drum Set selbst: Ich selbst bin gut dabei aber Kollegen die das schon seit Jahrzehnten machen, sagen: "Für dein Bub und nen Anfänger das Beste fürs Geld! #goforgold
Bin Gespannt, wann wir die Re-Investion drin haben :P

Produit conforme à la description, très bonne surprise, emballage soigné et instrument de qualité. Bref, très bon rapport qualité/ prix .
Une petite instruction en français pour le montage et la tension des peaux aurait été un plus... A bon entendeur !

Perfect for beginner BUT..

Whole kit overall is solid, stock drum heads are really nice, snare and rack toms needed some tuning but that's pretty normal. Hardware is solid, drum throne is great and comfortable, but cymbals are not so great. if you're only playing for yourself they are OK. But if you'll ever want to play some kind of gig on this drum set, i'll recommend buying some other cymbals. Overall, drums and hardware are great, cymbals not so much (only ride is acceptable, but still, recommend buying some other cymbal set). Played a couple of gigs on this snare, one and only thing to do with it to sound great is tunning and muffling and now it sounds amazing.
