The clarinettist's compact companion
The Odisei Music Travel Clarinet is the world's first electronic clarinet. It's designed for a wide range of players, from beginners taking their first steps into the world of the clarinet through to experienced enthusiasts and professional musicians who want to keep up their silent practice routine while travelling. The instrument responds dynamically to breath intensity and finger movements, allowing for nuanced control over colouration and volume, and resulting in an impressively varied musical palette. Its stainless steel key mechanism closely recreates the feel of an acoustic clarinet, while the integrated steel springs provide realistic finger resistance.
On the go and at home
The Odisei Travel Clarinet was developed for musicians who spend a lot of time on the move, as well as for those who want to play at home at any time of day or night without disturbing family members or neighbours. A pair of headphones can be connected via the 3.5mm mini jack output, making playing almost completely silent apart from the sound of the keys and the player's breath. The familiar key layout and genuine mouthpiece make it easy for newcomers to get started on the clarinet. At the same time, the acoustic feedback system recreates the tactile response of an actual clarinet, contributing to a really natural playing experience. Included are a clarinet mouthpiece complete with a reed, ligature and cap, as well as a case, a microfibre cloth, and a USB-C charging cable.
MIDI plug-and-play
The Odisei Travel Clarinet can also be used as a MIDI controller – it's easily connected to a computer via USB, and it's compatible with all popular DAWs, giving musicians a wide range of creative possibilities. Equally, more than 50 different sounds are available right in Odisei's app, including clarinet, flute, and a variety of saxophones, but also violin, piano, electric guitar, marimba, church organ, and many more. Because the synthesizer is built directly into the instrument, practice and performance are virtually latency-free. For especially expressive playing, the integrated accelerometer enables dynamic pitch-bend and vibrato effects. The Odisei Travel Clarinet is made from a combination of durable synthetic materials and a robust metal alloy. Measuring 30cm in length and weighing just 293g, it's also incredibly compact and easy to carry.
About Odisei Music
Based in Barcelona, Spain, Odisei Music is an innovative company specialising in the development and distribution of electronic wind instruments, designed specifically for practice on the go and in any environment. Born from the need to practise in small spaces without disturbing others – a common challenge for traditional instrumentalists – Odisei Music brings together musicians, developers, and designers in a creative community. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI-powered learning tools, premium craftsmanship, and thoughtful design, the company aims to break down barriers like noise, space limitations, mobility, and accessibility, opening up new possibilities for musicians worldwide.
Music for everyone
The adaptive Travel Clarinet forms part of Odisei Music's collaboration with the My Breath My Music Foundation. The aim of this initiative is to make their instruments as flexible and accessible as possible, enabling more people, including musicians with physical disabilities, to learn and play music. This begins with the extensive customisation options within the Odisei Play app, which acts as a central hub that allows all users to configure the instrument to suit their individual preferences. Key mappings, breath sensitivity, volume, dynamics and many other parameters can be tailored to each player's style. In addition, the Travel Clarinet features Bluetooth and MIDI connectivity, making it possible both to integrate it into DAW-based setups and to play along with songs, practice material, or backing tracks. The Odisei Travel Clarinet marries its compact dimensions with a high degree of adaptability and can be configured to suit a wide variety of requirements. Optional accessories such as the Odisei Music Power Bank or Headphones add further convenience.
