The Moog MF-109S Saturator ranges from tight, dynamic overdrive and analogue saturation to gentle compression and expansion. It combines a versatile envelope follower with bipolar control of the unique drive circuit found in Moogerfooger Effects plug-ins. This input stage is a key component of every Moogerfooger and adds warmth, distortion and crunch to any sound.
Additional features: The Plug-in also emulates the Minimoog Model D’s Noise generator circuit – including control over noise level and timbre, as well as a switchable filter type. Thanks to the Envelope Follower and Noise CV outputs, as well as several CV inputs, the Saturator can interact seamlessly with all other Moogerfooger Effects plug-ins.
Analogue resonator synthesizer
- 6-voice polyphonic synthesizer and 6-part multi-timbral with independent outputs for each voice
- Fully analogue signal path
- Exciter section comprising a VCO (waveform switchable from sine, through triangle and sawtooth, to square), a noise generator with sample-and-hold, and an external audio signal
- ADSR envelope with delay and loop function for the exciter
- A tunable BBD resonator (a feedback network of delay lines) capable of producing musical tones, which is driven by the exciter signal
- A 12 dB low-pass filter for the resonator input and a 6 dB low-pass filter for the feedback loop
- Quad LFO per voice with 4 waveforms (sine, triangle, sawtooth, square), unipolar/bipolar mode, one-shop mode and MIDI sync
- 4 random number generators per voice
- Modulation matrix with 9 sources and 32 destinations
- Voice-grouping and unison modes for complex, layered sounds
- Memory locations for 216 presets
- Stereo main output: 2 x 6.3 mm jack sockets
- Stereo individual outputs: 6 x 6.3 mm jack sockets
