I bought this to upgrade a Sire Larry Carlton L3 LP Junior copy. Not that the original pickup was bad, but the build of the guitar was so good, I thought a Lollar pup would take it way above its price point. I wasn’t wrong. The Lollar is a very musical pickup. It has the characteristic P90 bite more depth of tone. Very happy with it.

Ich wollte den vergleichsweise leisen Bridge-Position Pickup meiner Jazzmaster durch etwas aggressiveres, durchsetzungsfähigeres ersetzen. Das Ergebnis (durch einen Vox AC30) erinnert mich vielleicht am ehesten an den Sound der frühen Buzzcocks-Platten. Sehr gut für Overdrive-, Crunch- und Distortion-Sounds. Für nette Surf-Sachen eher weniger geeignet. Der Pickup bleibt für's erste in der Gitarre.
