A Case for all Seasons (not just Winter!)
I recently bought a Jakob Winter JW 62017 Stone Violin Case (having previously bought a Jakob Winter JW 52017 Violin Case). I have to say that I am very pleased with both! These are well-made cases, nicely finished, robust and a perfect fit for my violins.
The weight and dimensions in particular are ideal for travel and I certainly don't foresee any hand luggage problems when flying. The handle grip is comfortable, and the sturdy shoulder straps are a bonus.
(The Stone finish is especially suited to the addition of stickers for those so inclined!) As we say in Scotland, "Braw!"

A good combination of quality and finish.
My daughter chose this violin case after trying many different models. The main reasons were that it fits her German 4/4 violin perfectly, along with her pernambuco bow. It also has a separate compartment for the chin rest and another dedicated compartment for the rosin, which is very practical.
The case is beautifully finished, both inside and out, and the backpack straps make it comfortable and convenient to carry on your back.
