Nice projection of sound

I bought this model after Blues Harp which is more mellow than Deluxe and not too noisy. Still I like Blues harp but in my opinion Deluxe has better sound projection. Also the comb looks better finished in Deluxe. Deluxe is a little bit easier to play, especially to do overblows. Very protective case.

I wanted to try this Harp as it came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. The pear wood comb gives it a nice tone and the harp is sweet sounding and easy to play. Bending notes is easy. I like the fact that the cover plates are screwed on instead of nailed on like the traditional marine band. Notes bend easy and it’s a great harp. It’s a Hohner.: well made and solid! Klasse Sound - leider nur für kurze Zeit

Zusammenfassung: Wenn Hohner die ordentliche Versiegelung des Kanzellenkörpers in den Griff bekommen würde wäre die Marine Band Deluxe ein ausgezeichnetes Instrument.

Das Instrument bringt für mein Empfinden einen wirklich angenehmen Klang hervor.
Mit der Ansprache bin ich eigentlich sehr zufrieden - mir mangelt es zugegeben an wirklichen Vergleichsmöglichkeiten Mit der Marine Band Deluxe habe ich meine erste Mundharmonika erworben.
Die angefasten Kanzellenstege und die abgerundeten Kanten an den Deckeln sorgen für einen angenehmen Spielkomfort.

So weit so gut.

Leider sind schon nach wenigen Betriebsstunden die Trennstege des Kanzellenkörpers derart aufgequollen, dass ein Spiel auf der Harmonica nicht mehr möglich war. Der vollversiegelte Kanzellenkörper ist damit leider in das Reich der unerfüllten Werbeversprechen einzuordnen.
So habe ich das Instrument auseinandergenommen und 2 Wochen bei gelinder Wärme auf der Heizung getrocknet. Nun ist es wieder spielbar und klingt so gut wie neu.
Aber ganz ehrlich: 4 Stunden spielen und dann jedesmal 2 Wochen trocknen - das steht doch in keinem vernünftigen Verhältnis!
Ich werde wohl dem Kanzellenkörper noch etwas Versiegelung spendieren.

Darüber enttäuscht habe ich mir die Hohner Marine Band Crossover gekauft, deren Kanzellenkörper aus Bambus besteht. Dieses Holz soll ja wesentlich wenig anfällig für das unerwünschtes Aufquellen sein. - Ich werde an gegebener Stelle berichten.

Un Comienzo Es Siempre Un Momento Importante.-

La Hohner Marine Band Deluxe se me reveló como el modelo adecuado. Elegante, fabricada a mano, materiales de primera clase (destaca el peine, fabricado en madera de peral con triple revestimiento de barniz para evitar deformaciones), una presentación de primera categoría en su funda con cremallera y anclaje a cinturón... En cada centímetro de este instrumento se percibe, al tacto, a la vista y al oído, calidad más allá de su precio. Un precio que se vuelve irrisorio, habida cuenta de lo que ofrece a cambio.

En cada pausa de mi trabajo, allí donde puedo tocar con tranquilidad, desarrollo mis licks, ensayo mis bends, y siempre tengo las mismas sensaciones con mi Marine Band Deluxe. Un sonido potente y cristalino al mínimo soplido. Y una impresión de cuán fácil puede ser llegar a tocar decentemente la armónica si se tiene constancia, tiempo..., y un material tan bueno entre las manos.

Un apunte en lo referente al bending; es algo dura. Tras ejecutar esta técnica durante semanas y adquirir posteriormente una Blues Harp, descubrí que con esta última conseguía "torcer" las notas con una considerable facilidad en relación con la Marine Band Deluxe. No obstante, lejos de arrojar una nota negativa sobre esta, tal característica tiene una evidente utilidad para el principiante.

Mi recomendación;independientemente de vuestra destreza con la armónica, si buscáis una diatónica de nivel profesional sin destrozar vuestro presupuesto, adquirid una Marine Band Deluxe y haceos con sus pequeñas "manías". Os aseguro que el resultado que lograréis es estupendo.
