Used on my Phono Interconnect

I can guarantee you: this is an extremely very high end audiophile product. Solid built, perfectly shielded. But clearly intended for thicker cables with a true coaxial (non-balanced) concept. I managed to make a phono connect using a semi-balanced concept (using the SC Carbokab) but that's an extremely difficult mission to accomplish (due to the limited internal space) and really requires experience. For hi-fi components and true coaxial cables it is a no-brainer, but I would'n recommend it on patch cables.

I'm sorry to say that this plug let me down on multiple levels: 1) the grip on the female socket is way to tight, 2) soldering is not easy.

lässt sich leider schwer konfektionieren

Es gibt Stecker, die sich leicht und welche die sich schwer konfektionieren lassen. Zwar ist dieser Stecker wunderbar stabil und hat einen unproblematisch Kontakt zur Buchse, aber erstmal muss er ja ans Kabel. Und hier scheint der Stecker widerspenstig, wie die Rille auf ner Platine, das Lötzinn perlt einfach ab. Das liegt nicht daran, dass eine falsche Temperatur oder bleifreies Zinn verwendet wurde, eine zu dünne Lötspitze o. ä.. Hier gibt es Stecker, die da wesentlich besser zu handeln sind.

Hicon Chinch nicht für jede Anwendung

Leider musste ich feststellen das diese Stecker nicht immer von Vorteil sind wenn sie einmal angeschlossen sind und man sie dann wieder entfernen möchte gibt es Probleme beim lösen man bekommt sie fast nicht mehr gedreht weil das Gewinde plötzlich sehr fest sitzt und man nur mit Hilfsmittel zb. Spitzzange lösen kann.
