inexpensive speakercabinet
A long review for an inexpensive item. But it looks like it is supposed to be used bij musicians. Long term home use review:
So: This is one of the cheapest speaker cabinets i know of. its open backed and looks good. Just like the Thomann pictures. It came well packaged, as always with Thomann.
For the money you can't make it yourself.
The wood (MDF) is a bit thin, but i noticed Fender Mustang3 (and i read the Vox VR) has the same thickness, so it is normal... Don't trust it on the road.
I think multiplex (16 or 18 ply) is way better, lighter and stronger, but of course more expensive
Got it for a bit more low/spreading with my marshall jcm900 combo, (no money for an orange cab) but mainly to have a better sound with my 5 watt home made tube amp. For home use.
Alas...
The speaker can handle a lot of power. Good lows, sharp highs.
It sounds to thin for me, compared to my main amp's expensive Celestion, and too thin compared with the Celestion tube 10 in the small tube combo.
No rock-mids. Transistor sound.
Other use?
Yes. it functions nice as a bass practice amp with my vox pathfinder10. ( made an extra speaker out) Set looks good also. Clean Fender strat sound sort of acoustic ok. distorted is a no go.
The internet shows use for metal players. Different sound as my rock sounds.
Perhaps construction to inexpensive to buy more expensive speakers for it, but weber/jennings/bugera might be interesting. As i said, it looks good...and it did not cost much.

An ok Cab if you need one quick
I was in a fast need of a small cab to do home practices before upgrading. I took a chance on this and it was ok. The Speaker wasnt great so dont expect a V30 sound. Was quite Fizzy sounding but was made pretty solid

It's a nice cabinet for the money, if you are on a low budget. Also you have the option to load it with a higher quality speaker later.
