You get what you pay for...
Che Runn 09.01.2024
I bought this tuner because of it's rechargable battery, since my previous clip tuner is showing humidity and temperature when it's "off" which means that when I need it every now and then, the battery is drained and the CR2032's are a bit expensive to use for only a single tuning. Also the environmental issues...

Got the tuner, charged the battery and tuned my guitar - so far so good. But when I came back to it some time later (I mostly use a pedal tuner, so the clip is for backup) the battery was drained again. I recharged it, used once and the next time I picked it up it was empty again. So after a bit of testing I found that the battery doesn't hold any charge. I reported it to Thomann and they sent me a new one, but this one is really struggling to tune the 6-th string and is absolutely unusable for bass. The chromatic mode shows you the whole alphabet when tuning a string so you have to use the designated guitar tuning mode to the job done.

I really like the swivel design and the coloured screen is amazing. Also I like that in addition to the rotary dial it shows in numbers how far off you are which makes finetuning a lot easyer but unfortunately the tuner part being incompetent ruins the good idea. Also you can accidentally change the tuning from 440 to 441, 442 etc. without noticing or change the tuning mode which is done by pushing the power button, so when turning the device off and not pressing the button long enough you change the tuning mode to say ukulele or violin and the next time you use it starts up in this mode and can cause some confusion.

Since it's so cheap I'm going to keep it for tuning at home but I wouldn't take it to band practice an certainly wouldn't go on stage with it.

Works but has some kinks
Astrox 30.08.2025
It tunes fine (most of the time), feels sturdy enough and doesn't fall off. I've had it in my backpack / gig bag full of stuff and it hasn't snapped or broken yet. Has multiple tuning modes; Chromatic, Guitar, Bass Ukulele and some more I cant remember. Chromatic mode has sharps. you can also change the frequency in chromatic mode if you want to tune a quarter step down or something.
Sometimes when I'm tuning my Low E it will just stop or show a B for some reason. Only happens in chromatic mode though.

Headstock tuners work fine but at the end of the day pedal tuners will ALWAYS win in accuracy.

works decent

it's not the best clip-on tuner out there, but it gets the job done. I takes a lot of patience to get solid readings in low tunings or on bass, but it's usable. i originally got this to use it live, but I went back to using a pedal, so this is mostly my go to tuner when practicing at home.

It is slow and not very accurate.
Daniel Cherney 12.11.2024
A very cheap tuner, but it struggles with lower strings, and the tuning calibration feels quite coarse, as does its response speed. The screen on this tuner is also small. I have a battery-powered tuner from HB, and it works better: faster and more accurately.

No good for bass
Erazem 21.08.2025
I'm at risk of needlessly marking this product down as it might be great for guitar, but I'll just leave a warning here that this tuner really struggles to pick up the lower strings of the bass.
I don't have a lot of experience with clip ons as I've usually used plug in tuners, so I might be expecting too much here.

Does the job
ilGibo 03.06.2023
Very portable, light and small.
The display is very easy to read, but sometimes it doesn't respond to the strings that are played and it takes a few attempts to get it to show what note is being played. It wouldn't replace my pedal tuner, but it's nice to have it handy when I don't want to use the full pedalboard.

Doesn't work well with bass guitars.
cem_ 25.03.2023
I purchased this tuner to use it on bass guitars, but it doesnt work well, specially on E and B strings. Higher pitch strings, it wors fine. G and C strings are easy to tune. But for lower stringd, It does not capture the vibration of the strings. Hitting the string soft or hard, does not matter. A couple times the tuner showed the string tunning information after 5 seconds I played the string. Even if it was consistently showing the tuning after a few seconds (what is not the case), it would take minutes to tune the instrument.
The tuner has both chromatic and bass modes, and neither works well.

Unfortunately, the worst tuner I own
Flyin' Ryan 20.03.2025
I like a lot of things about this tuner, but I think I got a dud. It has trouble registering standard tuning notes, especially the low E and B. It is very slow, and often inconsistent. When I switch to other tuners, even cheaper, with the same guitar, they always out perform this one.

It looks good and functions well otherwise. But, this is a deal breaker.
