Göldo WS045 Fretboard Guard

Very poorly cut. The inner edges had excessive material on them which caused the guard to be sharp and damage the fretboard and it couldn't sit flat.

I obviously wanted to use this to protect the fretboard while sanding (sandpaper or fine steelwool) my frets to restore their shine and get the old gunk off.
However, the fretboard guard itself scratches the fretboard while using it...
Luckily, the scratches aren't that visible anymore after cleaning and waxing the fretboard, but I won't be using the fretboard guard again

It's a rosewood FB, maybe different woods will behave differently

It barely fits the frets, but it kind of does the job. It covers a very small area however which makes it very difficult to use since it barely covers a single fret. Also it has nothing to stay in place so you have to stick it on with something. Wouldnt recommend.

Idea is very good but result of the product is very poor. It's kind of useless, cheap material and the sharp sides of material is very disturbing !!!

I bought this to make fret maintenance easier, and I was sorely disappointed. It doesn't fit jumbo frets, and it isn't stated anywhere in the product description that it doesn't. On top of that it scratches the fretboard if you aren't careful. Very disappointed in the product and the quality. The only reason that I give it two stars is the fact that it does fit vintage style frets.

Wont use the Fretboard guard again, cause it does not do, what it is supposed to do. Unfortunately the sharp edges of the guard left sratches in my fretboard...

Not recommendable from my side.
