Vorneweg: Optisch ist diese Gitarre für mich ganz großes Kino. Und auch an der Verarbeitung gibt es sicher nichts weiter auszusetzen. Mein persönliches Ausschlusskriterium ist jedoch, dass sich die Gitarre im Stehen, sprich mit Gurt um den Hals, nicht bespielen lässt. Der Korpus ist im Vergleich zum Hals deutlich zu leicht. Somit muss ich den Hals während des Spielens festhalten, weil er mir schwerkraftbedingt sonst in Richtung Boden wandert. Die Platzierung des Gurtpins zeugt ebenso davon, dass man sich im Hause Gibson darüber keinerlei Gedanken gemacht hat. Andere Les Paul Special Gitarren oder auch die Junior haben den Pin an der Spitze des oberen Cutouts. Hier sitzt er an der Rückseite des Korpus', was der Halslastigkeit noch weniger entgegensteuert. Von einem möglichen Umsetzten inkl. Bohrung rate ich ab. Ein Versuch mit Klebeband zeigt, dass sich trotz umgesetzter Gurtaufnahme das Problem nicht lösen lässt. Mein Fazit: Wunderschöne Gitarre, die ich gerne behalten und auf ewig bespielt hätte. Der beschriebene Konstruktionsfehler macht das Instrument meiner Meinung nach jedoch unbespielbar.
