okay for timpani

i bought them as all-round mallets that have a bit more attack than your regular softies. however, i strongly advise using these just for playing on clear drum heads, not the rougher white ones (or actually any drum that has some kind of coating or texture on it), as about 10 minutes of fervent playing will leave you with two bare sticks in your hand and a whole lot of fluff on the ground (not a euphemism).

Tolle Stöcke - Haltbarkeit nicht so.

Die Stöcke sind wirklich toll - vor allem die in der Produktbeschreibung nicht erwähnten, aber mitgelieferten kurzen Silikon-Schlauchstücke, die man als Gegengewicht auf die Stöcke schieben kann, sind super und bringen ein tolles Spielgefühl.
Nachteil ist allerdings die Haltbarkeit der Filzköpfe: die machen es einfach nicht sehr lang. Auf Naturfell überleben die bei täglich mehrstündigem Einsatz an die 2 Wochen. Auf Synthetikfellen natürlich etwas länger.
Manchmal erwischt auch ein Paar, bei dem sich im Laufe der Zeit die Wicklung selbstständig macht.
Habe die Stöcke aber trotzdem schon öfter nachgekauft, weil sie einfach gut sind.
