Stratocaster perfect for metal

Jesús H., 06.10.2012
Construction:
- Finishes of high quality and without any imperfection in the manufacture. Special mention in the matte finish of the body of the guitar. Just impeccable.
The SKB case that includes the guitar is of high quality and comes with a with a finish in plastic also impeccable.
It is appreciated that the pack includes safety straps for the Schaller brand belt in a black finish very in line with the guitar.

Sound:
- The active EMG pickups together with the mahogany body and the maple neck with ebony fingerboard make this guitar a very recommendable instrument for sounds close to metal and modern hard rock. The metal bell of the guitar is made evident especially with serious tunings. However it is versatile enough to play other styles with very satisfying results.

Working bull without much frills ...

13.09.2014
Hello :-)
For all reading faults: Bottom line: 4.5 stars

The guitar brings, thanks to / despite the spartan equipment, exactly the features, which I appreciate on a guitar and need. It sounds cool and plays incredibly well. The accessory package is generally meant to be useful, sometimes simply unnecessary. About the processing there is nothing to complain about. A little fining on the neck was necessary and the lacquer is incredibly sensitive.
That's why the whole package gets 4.5 stars.
Half the star trigger gives it that the neck had to be adjusted and one must necessarily buy accessories, which one may not need. Also for the paint, which does not forgive carelessness. For those who do not mind, Fender has put a great guitar on the market.
Regret I have not made the purchase yet a minute!

Who wants to know more precisely:

Features:
The guitar is compressed to the most necessary. Two humbuckers, volume control and a pickup switch. Finished.
No faxing like a tone control or separate setting options for the pickups. I've been looking for something like this, some of them may disturb or restrict it.

Playability and Handling:
The guitar is massive, heavy. But wonderfully balanced. No overhead, no nothing! Bendings go slightly from the hand and through the milled neck fastening the guitar is loosely to the highest positions loose to play. You just notice that here was thought. My neck is super. With a LTD Eclipse, however, I am not at all clear. I can not say whether that is at the collars, the neck profile or whatever. In the Jim Root Strat I fell in love with the playability from the beginning.
The tuning stability is useful.

Sound:
I really like the sound of the guitar very much. Relatively modern. From the belly out something more aggressive and not as middle-heavy as the LP standards of my colleagues. Also not quite as fat. But by no means bad. Neatly enforced.
The 81er EMG at the bridge provides a snappy and defined rhythm board, the 60s at the neck I like for clean sounds and something worn solos really good.
Speaking of solos: The guitar has sustain to overmorning. It is truly a true splendor.

Processing:
The processing itself is beyond all doubt.
BUT: man, the paint is sensitive. This makes Fender no secret, but it is so crass is not clear to me. After the first few hours of play, the guitar already has shining edges, namely, wherever the belt and / or the arm are rubbing along. A small collision with the jack of the cable immediately led to a lacquer plaque.
If you are looking for a guitar that still looks like after 10 years, look for another guitar, who is on use traces, or at least tolerates these, is exactly right here

The neck curvature was set too low. I had to lay my hand. At first, the strings were "pounded" at the fret.

Optics:
The guitar looks great. Simple, not necessarily elegant, but unobtrusive and noble. On the other hand not boring. It has just the right mix of classic shape and modern color. Not mutilated with questionable gold hardware (as is the case with many really appealing guitars) and also no bitter-bite metal ax, which shoots out of the way for miles. Simply harmonious.

Equipment:
Suitcases, secure-locks, harness, cable, cleaning cloth and Allen key
The case is optically totally awesome. I like the tweed plating incredibly. On the other hand, it's just stuff and it can get dirty. You are warned;) Inside the case is covered with red plush. Fits optically all wonderfully together.
From the stability there are probably better cases. Down in a truck I would not pack the suitcase. In the trunk of the car, however, without much concern.

The secure locks function first class, the cleaning cloth has its own existence, but the cable and the belt are in my opinion as unnecessary as nochwas. If you buy a guitar in the price class has better cable at home than that, which was thereby. The same applies to the belt. This is a 08/15 Fender strap, nothing special. Neither nice nor comfortable. That's it. This is complaining at a very high level.

It remains a really positive overall picture!

Thank you for reading :-)
