B
How did YouTubers make this amp sound so good?
Bennnjaminnn 18.08.2025
I was so, so looking forward to this amp. I did a tonne of research. I watched video after video, read review after review, and all the YouTubers and instagramers somehow made this amp sound amazing. I just cannot replicate the same results. It sounds tin like. Really harsh high ends, super compressed, with flubby low end. I bought a 10 band EQ pedal to try to tighten things up which made a small difference. I just can't dial it in for the tones I was expecting. Even the clean sounds flat. This amp has a loads of gain. But the gain is only usable to a point. The green channel overdriven sounds the best. However, the green channel is not switchable to clean from overdriven. So it's either green clean + red channel, or green overdriven + red channel, which sucks. Positives: well built, many features for bedroom studio recording. Negatives: just sounds bad, flat, flubby, compressed badness with super harsh high ends. Whilst a couple hundred pounds more, I wish I went with the Laney Black Country Customs Ironheart 30w Combo.
