must have bit of kit!

Heleni 23.08.2023

This is one very useful mallet! it will work on your gongs like a smaller percussion's mallet only better! honestly, it will even work the fundamentals to some extent. The mallet you didn't know you needed but will never want to be without. works on all sizes on gongs. Love it

Harder than The Fuzzbucket!

Alias Spiderman 14.07.2024

I bought this mallet because I already own the dragonfly Reso Fuzzbucket mallet which is physically bigger than the baby Reso, and wanted to complement that one.
I was slightly surprised at how hard the head of the mallet is compared with the Fuzzbucket but, on reflection the smaller diameter head means less room for sound deadening materials. It's not a hard head, like a wound mallet head but, it is firmer than the Fuzzbucket.
This is a good mallet in its own right, and the more I play it the more I like it.
I tend to play it as a pair, matched with a handmade shamanic drum beater.
When played in a glancing strike manner, there's almost no impact noise.

"Baby" mallet

Andreas Y. 20.09.2024

I don't know why they call this "reso baby", but this mallet is really useful for small to medium gongs, and maybe for some bigger sometimes on sessions.
