I'm very happy with the Thomann team responses (I asked a lot of questions) and the final product. I played French Horn a long time ago. I wanted to get back into music and the flugelhorn seemed like a great way to reenter a pleasant hobby.
The new, deep cup makes a great sound, much more focused than the super deep mouthpiece that came with my Yamaha student instrument.

Klasse Mundstück für Flügelhorn

Nach langem Suchen nach dem für mich richtigen Mundstück für das Flügelhorn bin ich bei diesem Mundstück hängen geblieben.

Dieses Mundstück gibt es von F0 bis F9, von ganz tief und offen bis relativ flach und eng. Für mein Jupiter JFH-846R ist das F6 die optimale Wahl: nicht zu tief aber trotzdem offen, ein sehr runder Klang, ohne zu sehr die Details zu verlieren. Zudem - mit dem passenden Schraubrand - einfach, gut und präzise in der Ansprache.

Für alle Blechbläser, die mehr als ein Instrument spielen (Trompete, Flügelhorn, Kornett) mehr als eine Überlegung wert.

(Ja, die Mundstücke von Breslmair sind etwas teurer und die Suche nach dem richtigen Rand ist ein Thema für sich. Wenn du allerdings den Weg gehst, erhältst du ein System, mit welchem du auf jedem Instrument mit möglichst wenig Umstellung und Kraftverlust spielen kannst. Und Thomann hat eine hervorragende Auswahl!)

Passend zum Breslmair Modulsystem für Trompete gibt es auch Kessel/Rückbohrungs Kombiteile für Flügelhorn, in insgesamt 9 Varianten (mehr dazu auf der Breslmair Website). Die Ränder des Modulsystems passen nahtlos! Wie von Breslmair gewohnt, sind die Unterteile perfekt verarbeitet, auch was die Versilberung angeht. Im Gegenzug zu der mit *tief* angegebenen Kesseltiefe sei gesagt, dass es noch wesentlich tiefere Varianten gibt (0-4). Ansonsten: ausprobieren!

Sehr gut für hohe Flgh Parts

Ermöglicht es am Flügelhorn auch höhere Passagen mit vertretbarem Aufwand zu spielen und ist damit z.B. auch für die 1. Flgh Stimme bei Blasmusik geeignet.
Der Klang ist allerdings heller und nicht mehr so voll wie bei den tieferen Breslmair FLGH-Mundstücken oder wie bei Mundstücken von Denis Wick.
