VG-800, great addition to new GK pickup line.

Owned GR55, GP10, GM800 and Quad Cortex.
Wanted to trim the gear variety and mix. The gm800 with the gk5 pickup offered great sonic experiences, so was very happy to swap the gr55 and gp10 for the vg800.
Out of the box, easy to setup, runs in series with gm800 with TRS cable, and slots nicely into the QC.
Stock patches showcase the potential, from sweet acoustic to dual electric guitar and bass.
Well worth the investment for the hobby player to a gigging musician.

Das blaue Wunder

Hallo zusammen,
das ist nach einigen Jahren wirklich meine erste Bewertung, die ich bei Thomann schreibe.
Habe das Gerät am 4.3. erhalten und dann in den letzten 3 Tagen mit der Konfiguration begonnen. Ich setze es zusammen mit dem GM-800 Syntheziser ein. Das Signal wird vom BOSS GM 800 durchgeschleift.

Meine ersten Eindrücke:
1) nie wieder Gitarren und Verstärker schleppen! - ist alles dabei - die Nylon-Gitarre finde ich besonders gut - aber auch einige Stahlsaiten-Modelle, Tele, Strat, LP sowieso - die Pickups werden berücksichtigt und die Amps sind auch super - ich brauche aber auch selten High-Gain
2) das analoge Signal der Gitarre kann dazu gemischt oder auch ausschließlich durch eine Signalkette geschickt werden
3) die Software ist bei Boss einheitlich und war vom GM 800 bekannt
4) Das neue Board (VG 800 + GM 800) wiegt 6 kg - das alte mit Technik von Line6 aus 2012 wog knapp 20
5) die Möglichkeiten des Layerings - insbesondere in Kombination mit GM 800 sind atemberaubend - dann sollten aber klassische Techniken der rechten Hand bzw. Fingerstyle beherrscht werden

Thomann-Service war wie immer super - ich hatte ein paar Fragen vorab

Enfin une passerelle efficace entre le guitariste et le claviériste

Après pas mal d'années à naviguer parmi différentes solutions comme Line6 Variax, Roland GK, Fismann TriplePlay et plus récemment Meris Enzo X (merci à Thomann pour l'achat, test, renvoi et remboursement du produit), le Boss GK-5 m'offre la possibilité, avec le VG-800 d'étendre les domaines de la guitare et surtout d'entrouvrir la porte de la sphère du clavier en général et du synthé en particulier (avec le GM-800).
L'installation externe du dispositif GK-5 est simple sans trop de paramétrage sur le VG-800 pour une utilisation rapide avec un résultat supérieur à mes attentes.
Finalement, j'envisage ensuite l'utilisation du GM-800 pour l'entrée complète dans les sons des synthés.
La prochaine étape étant l'intégration du GK-5 dans le corps de la guitare ou la recherche d'instruments intégrant déjà ces dispositifs Midi comme l'a fait il y a longtemps Godin avec ses xtSA et d'autres aujourd'hui qui lui emboîte le pas.
