Super mixing console for live and studio use

Bernd883, 17.08.2013
I have the console now several days intensively tested and am very satisfied.

The preamplifiers sound great. The compressors also do a good job, as I have not heard of my analog dbx compressors, without being intrusive. The EQs sound neutral and are easy to use.

The effects are lush and also sound very good.

My application is for a 4 and a 5-member band. So a maximum of 16 channels and 4 monitors.

The service is mostly self-explanatory and I have found out what I need, but would not have hurt a manual. Because without DAW or mixed-circuit experience it is difficult in my opinion. I have not yet found any manual on the Internet, also on the manufacturer's side. There is only one quickstart guide. There is a point deduction for this, because much but not everything is self-explanatory. (A Matrixkanal to occupy, I have not yet accomplished, but also not yet with last determination tried, because I'll probably never need ;-)

To the operation I would like to say that one with at the latest 2 button presses at the desired goal is. After each channel has its own display, you can name it and name it. This makes the thing very clear and one is in the turn around the desired goal.

In the processing I have deducted a star, which is however not to the hardware, but to the software. I have two times happened that my master channel suddenly called FX1 and no signal from the master came, which could only be repaired by a restart, even if the problem occurred only the first day, when I created and loaded presets. No idea what was going on. Since then it has been stable.

The hardware makes a valuable impression. If you are concerned about cheap fader buttons, you should look at the buttons of expensive consoles, which are not from Kruppstahl. If it wiggles, this is not due to the caps, but to the mechanics below. The knobs and knobs feel great.

Before buying, I had concerns about the many layers on the input, but that's no problem. Monitormixes are also very easy to create and more elegant and faster than with normal Aux sends on the analog desk. Simply select the monitor channel and press "Sends on Fader" and the input channel faders indicate the mix of the monitor mix.

The desk also moves up very quickly. I've stopped it, but I think under 10 seconds.

The interface ran immediately after installation of the drivers and the first recordings sound great. There are worlds between my POD X3 interface and the preamplifiers of the X32. They sound more musical, lively - just good!

To the Behringer brand and the reputation I would like to say that I have so far a small 4 channel console and a Behringer Multigate possesses. With both products I am very satisfied The mixing console will be 8 years old at the end of August and it does not even scratch a poti. The Multigate is also unbeatable in price / performance ratio.

Bottom line remains a wide grin in my face :-)

Hats off! Respect!

Lookup:

The update 2.0 brings other features, such as RTA and numerous new effects, such as a Fairchild 670 simulation. In addition, the other channels eg 9-16 can now be placed on the right faders.
The control by W-Lan I would not miss any more. There is now a super Android app for the mobile phone, even if it is not from Behringer :-)

The sum z hlt

aufsichtsperson, 21.10.2013
There are enough praise words to the x32. We tried to talk and think badly

Where a lot of light is also shadows. BUT... :

Self tests with consoles 3-4x are so expensive with regard to the more expensive mixer, destroy. Starting with the latency, we had a lot of concerns about this topic. THE LIGHT OVERWARDS AND HOW !!!!!!!!!!! The Behringer is a great product! Looking at the price, the thing is a small sensation. Another tip: not too much level on the preamp (the x32 does not like it) and everything is fantastic. Even without instruction manual, everyone is clear. Network also works perfectly with us. Everyone has their own InEarMix over IPad, IPhone and also Smartphone. FOH from the hall with minimal effort.

The Behringer X32 is a profit and brings more than we all would have thought, because the effects are better than initially vermzutet.

ADDENDUM from March 2014,
UPDATE to V2

We are flat. With the V2 version Behringer is only final from the rest on the market. Especially the new compressors and at the top the sensation, people tried the Precision Limiter (works as a 5x multiband) simply incredible, even for studio recordings.

We had our BSS and Summit compressors still in the rack. Now we have done countless tests. Forget the pictures of the LA2, 1176 or Pultec EQ, all nonsense. But the PrecisionLimiter does everything. Whether drums, bass, vocals or subgroups. Even UAD PlugIns have it very hard against this limiter. All analog compressors and limiters are now sold. Behringer X32 totally and a huge compliment to the good man of this limiter has developed. Thanks for a free update and countless other possibilities.
