Excellent protection and convenience of universal acceptance as cabin baggage
I purchased this case for my wife to protect her early 19th century violin while we travelled for 3 months in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Caribbean. In temperatures to over 40c, and widely varying humidity, in trains, planes (about 15 flights) and a variety of vehicles. The case provided complete protection for the instrument and apart from a few minor scratches and scuff marks the case is almost as good as new. No airlines challenged the case dimensions, (but we did keep the bow tube in the hold luggage).
The only minor issue was that with no provision to keep rosin in the case and the consequent mislaid item we discovered how difficult it is to find rosin in southland New Zealand!
If you travel with a violin this case is well worth the money.

Not accepted anymore by RyanAir
Case is great, love it.
However, today after 2 years of travelling with it twice per year with the same airline, from and to the same city/country, wirhout any problems from the staff, the dimensions were not accepted and I had to pay an additional fee.
