I've been playing on the Alexander Reeds DC Alto Saxophone 1.5 for a while now and honestly I'm impressed.
The reed feels very easy to play, especially for smooth jazz and softer styles. It responds quickly, has a warm tone, and makes high notes much more comfortable.

What I like most is the balance between softness and control — it’s light, but not completely unstable like some other 1.5 reeds can be. Great for long sessions and expressive playing.

Very good option for players who want an easy response, smooth sound, and relaxed blowing resistance.

Eine tolle Überraschung

Vom tief bis hoch. 08.05.2023

Ab und zu spiele ich auf meiner Altklarinette ein Mundstück von Pomarico (Nr.3). Bis jetzt hatte ich keine passende Blättchen gefunden , die mich wirklich zufrieden gestellt haben. Bis ich ein Box von 5 Blättern Alexander Reeds DC 1,5 für Altsaxophon bestellt habe. Dann habe ich den Unterschied mit anderen Blättern sofort gemerkt / gehört. Sicher ist es individuell. Sicherheitshalber habe ich nachträglich und relativ schnell einen zweiten Box bestellt , um eine bessere Rotation zu machen, da Proben und ein wichtiges Konzert bald auf dem "Dienstplan" sind. Diese Blättchen geben mir eine große Flexibilität und in dem Metallbox wäre kein Blättchen zu korrigieren / nachschleifen z.B. Ich warte nun auf die Ergebnisse in den kommenden Wochen, aber ich mache mir keine Sorgen. Direkte Ansprache und warmer Ton. Und...weniger Widerstand beim Blasen.
