mehr als nur ein witziger Flaschenöffner

Dieser Booster-Ring ist top verarbeitet, die Innenseiten sind schön glatt und ganz fein abgerundet. Er verursacht keinerlei Schrammen am Mundstück (im Gegensatz zu dem ein oder anderen Adapter namhafter Hersteller). Er wird in einem kleinen Stoffbeutelchen geliefert, der das positive Gesamtbild abrundet.

Ein solcher Ring hat einen gewissen Einfluß auf den Klang des Mundstücks. Der Einfluss ist nicht riesig, aber spürbar. Grundsätzlich verändert er das Mundstück klanglich in Richtung eines Heavy- oder Megatone-Mundstücks. Dies ist bei manchen Mundstücken vorteilhaft, bei vielen eher neutral, aber oft auch unerwünscht.

Bei meinen Schilke und Giardinelli Mundstücken ist der Effekt definitiv nachteilig, bei den Bach-Mundstücken wirkt er sich wenig aus, und die Klangveränderung ist Geschmackssache, aber z.B. bei einem Conn Lindberg wirkt er sehr positiv, ebenso bei Klier Mundstücken und auch bei einem Yamaha-Bassposaunenmundstück.

Hier muss man unbedingt selbst ausprobieren und entscheiden, ob einem der Booster auf dem jeweiligen Mundstück hilft. Anspieltip zum Testen ist ein ab' (eingestrichenes As). Dieses as' ist auf jeder Posaune - abhängig vom Mundstück - ein Problemton. Mit dem Boosterring gelingt er jedoch auf manchen Mundstücken deutlich besser als ohne. Wie bereits gesagt, bei manchen ist der Effekt gering, bei manchen auch negativ.

Ich bin positiv überrascht von diesem Booster, habe ihn immer bei mir im Koffer und verwende ihn tatsächlich nicht nur - aber auch! - als Flaschenöffner.
