QC at Fender should be ashamed.

Using it at home, intermediate player.

Check the guitar for errors before removing stickers or leaving any marks.
I made this mistake since I was so excited to get USA made Fender so I was not able to use return policy. Thomann did offer to replace but I already changed to locking tuners and removed all plastic stickers.
My other guitar is Epiphone Les Paul Classic Plus from 2004 so I was expecting better QC from USA made Fender.
10 uneven frets and one too low when I checked with fret rocker. Pickup height and intonations was off. Frets were not so polished or shiny and some were flat on the top.
Also 2 frets had glue rests and tool marks. Not OK Fender.
First after I took it for PLEK treatment in Stockholm for additional 250 €. the guitar was playable.

It took some time to get used to jumbo frets and maple neck.
Maybe next time I will get MIM Fender instead since I don't see the point of USA made one for this price and quality.

The most versatile and priceworthy strat on the market.

If you have a hard time to deciding which Stratocaster to buy I can highly recomend the Fender AM Perf Strat HSS. With the HSS strat you get the opportunity to play clean sounds with the two single coil pickup, or a more rough and dirty sound with the humbucker. The guitar has a good weight and neck is smooth and very easy to play.
If you do not own a electric guitar and want to be able to play many different genres of musik this is the guitar to pickup!

I pondered purchasing this guitar for a bit over a year. It was a major upgrade to my previous one and I was quite excited. This guitar was also the first Fender strat I had ever laid my hands on. Was not disappointed. It feels buttery smooth to play and the HSS configuration really comes in handy since I also like to play heavier stuff. In spite of that, I also instantly fell in love with the clean neck pickup sound. I'm also really happy with the colour of this particular guitar, the black body black pickguard combo looks sweet.

I really don't have much experience with higher end instruments, which I also consider this to be, so I have no frame of reference, but still some small things were a bit disappointing. There was a noticeable gap between the edge of the pickguard and the body near the neck pickup which in itself probably has no effect on playability but still you'd expect the pickguard to be installed properly on an instrument like this... Also the whammy bar is really quite hard to screw in place. I was very careful not to mess up the screw threads by using too much force and still it is quite difficult to install it.

Otherwise I was very happy with the product and especially with how quickly it arrived: the website said 12 weeks, but I got the guitar in less than a month!

Fender Value - Reasonable price

Having bought this guitar, I was impressed with the workmanship & the sound. However, to add some personal touches, I swapped the Yosemite pups with Lace Gold Deluxe Plus (in black), installed Fender locking tuners & a Fender Roller Nut, black tremolo tip, & black volume & control knobs. It plays & sounds beautiful!
