I just received those hd559 pads compatible like shown on the Polish website from Sennheiser with hd560s.
You have to apply way more pressure one side at a time. Even if the shape is almost 99% the same, the new pad, is not as easy to put in place.
( I tryed to put back the old pads it was way easier)
I had to buy again the pads, as one of them, while puting them in place, lost it's glue joint, and the Grey foam was visible.
This is the way i knew foam was different.
Grey instead of Yellow, and densier.
The sound signature of the hd560s, has maybe changed a bit, less hissing, high pitched sound, been a bit tamed ?
The only downside of old and new pads, is the glue maintaining in place the fabric layer, to the vynyle side, is way to easy to breake / tear.
