Great natural sounding pickup

I bought this to amplify an open back banjo after struggling with various contact pickups. This product reproduces a really natural sound although I thought it was a touch quiet even with the steel strip attached. The fittings are really well made although I couldn?t use both screws on the mounting bracket as my coordinator rods are too close together to make it work. I suspect there will also be problems fitting for banjos with a dowel stick or one coordinator rod. No feedback and great sound. I?m really pleased with it so far.

Lohnt sich !

Der Tonabnehmer für das 5-saitige Banjo lohnt sich nach meiner Meinung dann, wenn man sich privat und/oder innerhalb einer Gruppe unkompliziert verstärken möchte.

Der Einbau ist völlig problemlos und der charakteristische Banjo-Ton kommt für meine Ohren gut rüber.
Die Buchse stört nicht, auch nicht beim unverstärkten Spiel.

Meine Motivation für diesen Tonabnehmer war eher der experimentelle Bereich - jetzt kann ich meinen gesamten Gerätepark (Gitarre) und meine software-Instrumente auch mit dem Banjo nutzen. Macht Spaß ohne Ende. :-)

Fazit: Eine lohnenswerte Anschaffung, guter Tonabnehmer und leichte Montage. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

Installation simple. j'ai préféré toutefois la faire effectuer par mon luthier.
le résultat obtenu peut être très bon (son très proche du son d'origine.
si on peut parler du prix, Thomann est plus compétitif que les vendeurs américains ! ( et sans parler du port ! )
attention au potard de volume. en position médiane , c'est parfait, il suffit de monter légèrement la tranche de la table de mix. au delà on privilégie les fréquences aigües (corde de sol aigu) et ce n'est pas bon du tout.
