Unsurpassed MusicMan quality instrument

I got this as I liked the look of it and always wanted a Stingray guitar. Had grown bored with the usual fender type fair and felt G&L was too “fendery”. My original choice was the Showtime colour finish (it was out of stock) but was I surprised when this arrived. Black with a beautiful silver flake on the paint. What a finish. Frets were perfect, the HT pick ups sound great, flawless fit and finish too. The board is actually Ebony on this as in the specs it said rosewood at one point but also mentioned Ebony. Neck is perfect. Typical musicman style and quality. The only area I can take from the guitar and this is purely aesthetic: there is almost no figuring in the neck with my particular one. I know it’s a lottery to get nice figuring but really at this price I’d expect every Stingray had a nice figured neck. Having said that it’s really a small issue on an otherwise fantastic guitar. There was a tiny hairline crack in the case when I got it but these are third party produced in believe. Overall a solid 9/10 from me. Very happy with it. A little pricey but what an instrument!

Die Gitarre ist für ihr Aussehen sehr leicht. Der Hals ist ein Traum und die Gitarre ist sehr gut eingestellt. Es fällt alles gefühlt leichter zu spielen. Es handelt sich um ein Premium Instrument. Da darf auch nichts zu meckern sein finde ich. Am Anfang sind die Bundstäbchen etwas scharfkantig. Nach ca. 30 Minuten ist das aber erledigt. Der mitgelieferte Koffer ist auf die Gitarre angepasst und es ist sogar noch Platz für Saiten und co. Der Koffer lässt sich abschließen, bietet aber nur bedingt Sicherheit, da man auch mit dem Schlüssel meines anderen EBMM-Koffers schließen kann.

Meine Gitarre ist die von den Bildern. Das wurde von Thomann auch in der Lieferung so kommuniziert. Als schöne Geste lag ein Text und ein Foto von dem Fotoshooting dabei.
