Sustainful splash

I use this splash in my drumset, and I like to give a groovy effect on my fillings, whether I play rock, punk, trash, metal or something else.

I bought this 10" splash after having bought the 8" K-Custom Dark Splash. I fell in love with the 8" splash, and the 10" is like the older version of the love of my life;

The sound is excellent, although lower pitch than 8" (of course); it's smooth, it has a fast attack and a semi-long sustain. Compared to the 8", the sustain feels longer, and has crash-like properties. "Not as tight."

I like the 8" better, but the 10" still has it's role in my set. E.g. if you order a steak (8"), you want to have something else on the dish too (10"), not just the steak.

The 10" and the 8" have the same type of tone - it's like a certain interval lies between them, which is exactly what I wanted from splashes of the same series.

The 10" Dark splash is very smooth and sweet. If the transition from 10" -> 12" Dark Splash is similar to 8" -> 10" was, I'll leave the 12" one be.

Great sounding splash, fits in perfect with my other K Custom cymbals. I have even used this as a bottom for 10" Auxiliary Hi Hat, paired with a Meinl Byzance 10" Splash. Sounds class.

A nice little splash!

I have several other cymbals from the K line, so I had high expectations from the K-Custom Dark Splash too.
I was not disappointed! Great, pleasant sound, quick response, good sustain.

Elle coûte plus cher que les autres mais la qualité est au rendez-vous. Elle est péchue et le son est précis et moins clair que sur la K classique, donc son nom "Dark" lui correspond bien.
Je préfère toutefois la K classique mais c'est juste une question de goût, donc subjectif et les deux sur une batterie c'est que du bonheur...
