It’s portable, reliable, and fun to use — the DB-30 helps musicians take their music to higher levels by offering a set of features that defies its diminutive size. Much more than just a simple timekeeper, this pocket-sized metronome can lay down a variety of rhythm patterns and time feels to practice along with, and it has a few timekeeping tricks up its sleeve as well.

Pick from a menu of nine rhythm types and 24 beat variations, including combinations of odd-time signatures and clave patterns for practicing Latin rhythms. Who says practice has to be painful? Put some extra spice and groove into your next practice session with the DB-30!

The DB-30 adds value with its smooth-flowing LCD needle for visual tempo assistance, and two bright LED lights that visually assist your practice. Other helpful functions include Tap Tempo for finding the right pulse fast, internal reference tones (12 semitones), Auto Power Off for optimizing battery life, and headphones jack so you won’t miss a beat, even in noisy environments.

Good enough for the price, some pretty fatal flaws for me

I had this unit for about 3 years before passing it on. It did its job, but it never really grew on me. The flaws were objectively pretty minor but crucial for me.

There are loads of bpm scale and rhytmical patterns and variations to boot, so I bet you don't need much more functions on any kind of music you play. The chass is small but handy to use, and the clip sturdy enough, so it's easy to use laying on the table or tucked into your waist belt. The plastic housing felt a bit iffy, but I didn't throw around my unit and doubt nobody will, so I guess it's OK for the price.

The deal killers for me were the electronic blip sound of the click it made, and the lack of volume control of the click. The first is very subjective, the second a crucial feature in my opinion. As a minor complaint, in my experience it did us the battery quite a lot. These three combined made me to pass it on.

Be aware of the negative points I've just made, and the DB-30 still might fit your bill perfectly. It's not a bad product and does work as intended, so with that price I don't judge it as a dud. The new owner of my unit has been happy with it, as far as I know. For a cheap portable metronome I can recommended it with a caution.

Good metronome

This is a very good metronome for its price. You can practice all kind of beats and odd meter with this.

Only drawback what i can invent is that there should be some volume button for beeping. It would be even better if you could adjust it louder sometimes.

I use this all the time when practicing and its works really well. Battery life is also quite long which is good.

Omaan tarpeeseen ainakin riittävästi erilaisia rytmejä ja biittejä. Tempoa pystyy säätämään portaattomasti ja mahdollisuus myös "tap tempoon" missä voi itse esim. biisin tahtiin naputella saada näin selville biisin temmon.

Good metronome, also for drummers

I wanted a metronome that was precise, had a sound that would not annoy me, had some settings for its volume and a headphone output.

Differently from the Korg metronome I had before, when you press up or down on the tempo, this starts to quickly change immediately, and not in increments of 20 but increments of one. Very quick to set the tempo. Even better, there is a very responsive tap tempo function.
Also has lots of other features that you would not expect seeing how little buttons it has, it is actually quick to set up and good for practice on any instrument.
