This tailpiece makes tuning steel cored strings so much easier. If you "running" helicores on a fractional instrument you have to have some way to fine tune. It's either this or 4 individual tuners. This is so much cleaner. If you take your time you should be able to change it out yourself but if your all thumbs then take it to your local violin shop. It's a quality product, very light weight and works smoothly. Highly recommend.. This tail piece was super easy and now I have fine tuners! Thank you for an awesome product.This tail piece is really small considering the size of a standard wooden tailpiece. Hope the tuners hold up, as that seems to be a problem. The service was excellent. I recommend this, because students need fine tuners, heck, so do solo violinist, very quick and handy to tune. One of the positive things about the composite tail is that they vibrate and will help with the over all vibrations of the violin...

Good quality tailpiece. Better than using separate fine tuners. Easy to put on. With this tailpiece, the string length between the bridge and tailpiece won't be shortened . (Putting on separate fine tuners will shorten thet lenght and could really compromise the sound) so if you need fine tuners, this is the solution.

Saitenhalter mit Feinstimmern

Eigentlich versuchen Profigeiger aus klanglichen Gründen auf Feinstimmer zu verzichten, abgesehen von der E-Saite, die als blanke Stahlsaite sowieso eine Sonderrolle spielt. Durch aufgeschraubte Feinstimmer wird der Klang mehr oder weniger stark verändert, es geht Klangfülle verloren.

Durch Empfehlung meines Geigenbauers bin ich auf diesen Saitenhalter/Tailpiece mit integrierte Feinstimmern gekommen, dadurch wird die Schwingung der Saiten direkter übertragen, was zu einem kräftigeren Ton führt.
Die Montage ist sehr einfach gemacht, das schaffen sogar Geiger, die sonst eher handwerklich unbegabt sind...
Auch das Einhängen der Saiten geht schnell vonstatten, es gibt keine scharfen Kanten, was bestimmt auch dazu führt, dass die Saiten nicht so leicht reißen.

Es war eine gute Empfehlung!
