Shure UA506 ULX-Series

So racking gear is a mixed blessing. Another rack to cart around in my car when gigging didn't really appeal, but now im so glad i actually did it.

Its so much more convenient , and saves time, so i wish id done it ages ago.

This racking kit doesn't look much, and i was pretty concerned that the way it would screw into my plastic cased IEM transmitter unit would mean that it might not be sturdy enough, however i was very wrong.

The U shape of the rack sides means that its very secure and the screws actually are mounting into metal sub frame of the transmitter chassis.

It's not great value given what it actually is made from, but it does the job it needs to very well, so if it keeps my rack unit safe then i can forgive it for that.

My singers IEM unit is a different make and i mounted that also in the same 2U unit, but the rack mount kit for that is cheap and certainly shows it. with a tendency to sag that my Shure unit will not and cannot because of the structural shape.

so 4 stars for quality. ease of assembly etc but not 5 stars due to price.
