We bought this cable drum to carry a 15m stagebox 12/4 for transport and use on live shows

At the time we bought the cable and the drum separately due to budget reasons.

For the money you cant go wrong. The metal build makes it very durable. Just big enough to wind up our 15/12/4.

Due to the low weight it can be a hassle to start winding up the cable because you need to be able to hold down the casing itself. Goes faster with some help.

In the end it is worth every penny. Cheap and very sturdy. Still looks new after almost 2 years of use.

I bought this to use with 3 different 30m long cables, and it works great. Word of advice: remember which end is which before you start uncoiling. It will save you some grief.

Sturdy and a bit heavy

I use this drum for mic cables. The circumference is so small that when you try to wind up 2 xlr plugs that are connected, they are so long compared to the circumference of the drum that they protrude a bit. It would also be nice if the drum had a brake so that it does not start to unwind. Besides these minor grumps, it's a nice cable drum. And for the price, it's unbeatable.
