Decided to buy this Meinl 08" HCS Splash because I had some extra bucks after doing my main Thomann order. Wasn't sure about the sound or quality due to it's low price (cheapest available on the time of purchase), but decided to go with it since it was my first effect cymbal to purchase. And the splash proved to be very good!
It provides high vibrant sound and does the great job of giving the clear and bright accent where needed, so it came as a great addition to my standard drumset. I was reluctant at first, but now I tend to use it more and more with each new song we're doing with the band (other band members loved it as well).

I'm not a drummer but I needed a splash so I got this cheap one.. I'm not super happy with the sound and feel but It does the job... I wasn't expecting much anyway for this price. Feels a bit "heavy", I would have preferred a bit softer or thiner maybe, but again, maybe that's too much to ask at this price point and I'm a not a drummer so this is just my humble opinion.

Purchased this recently in addition to my 10" Meinl splash and I've been very pleased! The sound is amazing for those quick/fast accent notes and fits well anywhere around the kit depending on your setup!

I play different genres of music and this product has totally enhanced my playing style & techniques due to the fact it gives you that much sought-after dead/dry quick hit and sound quality!

It's affordable, durable and a must-have if you want improve your playing style!

Never forget the 8s Of Splash amongst the drum cards for it's winnable on all fronts :)

I like that this cymbal is very fast comparing Zultan 08" Aja Splash. Clean bright sound. Finish is also very good comparing Zulatan splash.I have both splash cymbals and they make very diffrent sound. Nice effect cymbal.

The Meinl 8” HCS Series Splash cymbal is pretty the bang for the buck. Given that for this amount of money this splash has an excellent vibrant sound which gives an amazing bright tune. In general this cymbal is just a great piece of kit to have on your drum set.

I use it on an acoustic set (cajon, snare, hihat) and I love it! Full sound with attack, not thin or something, and durability (two years now with extreme humidity in house). Can't beat it for the price!!
