Master sequence with 8 pitch steps and per step adjustable pulse count (1-8) and gate mode (hold, repeat, single, rest)
Tracks 1 and 2 are derivatives of the master sequence and can be modified in many ways
Adjustable parameters per track: Running direction, length, clock division, swing, slide time, gate length, note range, transposition and more.
8 Modulation tracks that can be routed to the two assignable outputs A & B or to internal sequencer parameters
3 Assignable CV inputs with attenuators for modulating sequencer parameters
Memory for 64 presets
Two assignable knobs
Clock input and output
Reset input
CV/gate outputs for tracks 1 & 2
Expandable by 8 additional gate/trigger outputs via optional Intellijel Gx or Qx module

The sequencer I was looking for

An instant classic. It takes virtually no time for it to do something unexpected and wonderful. You can then literally play this thing to take that somewhere even better and even less expected.

It goes deeper, but it's all so intuitive. What really sets it apart is that it's insanely generative but also controllable. If you need your counter-rotating 29 and 17 step pattern to be done in 8 beats to make it a bass line it's possible and easy.

The Accumulator feature will be standard on all sequencers from now on.
The Mod system is amazing for getting articulation via CV out of voices as they play.
The internal modulation options are extensive and capable of taking you into deeply experimental territory.

It has only 2 tracks (and only needs 2 tracks) but this makes it (mostly) not a sequencer for playing a drum kit. Metropolix is best as the lead singer.

The "Metropolix" is a great sequencer to get improvised and tricky patterns. It is very fun to use, and even with no having read the extense manual you can be various hours playing and having fun.
Highly recommended for those who want to get rhytmic patterns quickly in live as in the studio. 10/10

out of the box the metropolix is great for sequencing/ improving live right away without diving deeper, i bought it for the pulse count and ratchet functions and some wicked grooves came out of it just by minimal tweeking.
on a deeper level, lots to unpack and loads of control over modulation in the module and cv control of other modules etc. programming cv can be a little slow with the push encoder being able to save all your information in presets is great even if the sliders are not in the same place. im using it with the es8 so i can control midi and daw synths.
well worth the money, 10/10.
