Good for Customizing String Sets

D'Addario probably has the largest selection of single strings readily available on the market today. This is super useful for making your own custom sets, since they are not expensive and it is convenient and cheap to buy a bunch of different string gauges to experiment with. The NW028 is a wound string and therefore some fret noise is to be expected. I would have preferred a flat wound string, or maybe something semi flat. But ultimately that is a question of taste (and money), and the sound quality itself is quite good.

Good replacement for a broken string

I've broken my string, so I needed I replacement, decided to buy that string and didn't miss out. The quality is really good for that price, I recommend buying a single pack of each string so you'll have a replacement in case of something. So you won't have to buy a 6 string pack just to replace only one. Actually you can do that, but once you open the anti corrosive package, the other strings could lose their tone during time

Nothing else to say, you won't get for 2$ a string with gold dusting or whatever, just a standard string, that you can put on acoustic (I don't recommend) or electric guitar
