Il folosesc mai mult pentru claviatura midi. Clapele sunt micute(daca ai maini mari/degete groase nu-i pt tine) si touch-ul lasa un pic de dorit dpdv al dinamicii, in special piano/pianissimo sunt destul de greu de cantat/controlat.

Totusi vine la un pret f bun si are 8 paduri pt tobe care sunt chiar mai bune(sensibile) decat cele de pe mpd218. In plus joystickul pt pitch/vibrato este usor de manipulat dupa ce te obisnuiesti cu el(mi se pare mai usor de folosit decat daca ar fi avut 2wheel).

Alt plus sunt cele 8 controllere rotative. Mai are si un arpegiator pe care eu nu il folosesc. Si 2butoane cu care poti transpune +/- cate o octava -> foarte utile, le folosesc frecvent.

Deasemenea vine si cu banci de sunete, cu care iti poti face treaba in lipsa de alte sunete, dar atentie: nu are sunete incorporate, nici difuzor sa le reproduca, sunetele sunt pt pc!

Daca ai nevoie sa canti la ambele maini nu e pt tine, dar ca sa canti o linie melodica sau sa tii o armonie cu o mana (adica in special pt taskurile de studio) e f util, plus ca e f micut, usor, portabil si se alimenteaza prin usb.

I have this keyboard for two months now and I am super happy about it. I use it as a small and mobile input to my MIDI setup and to create short melodies and sometimes just to have fun.

The quality (for the price) is quite high. I really like the feeling and the response of the pads. The whole thing is fully programmable and with 8 pads and 8 knobs it's completely enough for my use case to also act as a MIDI controller for my AUM setup on iPad.

Pros:

- programmable (the note and command code of all pads and knobs can be changed)
- No driver needed (Mac and iPad)

cons:
- the software package that comes with it is amazing, but the only thing is that somehow Akai makes it hard to download them. I had hard time finding the program editor, but once you get them, you are all set.

I recently acquired the AKAI Professional MPK Mini MK3, and I can't help but sing its praises! This compact MIDI controller is marvelous.
