Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto da questo piatto, ero alla ricerca di un suono pulito e che enfatizzasse i colpi di "punta" delle bacchette ed è stato proprio quello che ho trovato. L'unica pecca, a livello di suono, l'ho riscontrata nell'eccessivo disequilibrio tra hi-hat aperto e chiuso: quand'è chiuso il suono è pulito e controllato, ma quand'è aperto il volume diventa troppo alto e tende a rendere il suono quasi confusionario.
A livello di fabbricazione non ho nulla da dire: sembra molto robusto e ben fatto, i dettagli sono precisi e definiti. Esteticamente il colore scuro colpisce molto, anche se dal vivo è un pò più "cupo" rispetto all'aspettativa e tende a scolorirsi molto rapidamente sui bordi.
Si tratta comunque di un ottimo piatto che per me rientra nel medio livello come qualità sonora e consiglierei a chiunque.

i'm not too impressed with these unfortunately, this is probably a taste thing for me.

Firstly, these are very heavy for 14" hats, and they sound quite weak in their attack and tone.

It has a bit of a cheap feel and sound to it, but i guess that comes with the price. I will say though that they look magnificent!

For dark hi hats they sound more akin to the old zildjian ZBT hats, albeit a tad darker than those. but still, not as dark as i had hoped.

just not my cup of tea, but this doesn't reflect poorly on zultan, it's just my opinion and they aren't for me.

Perfekt für meine Zwecke

Ich habe seit Ewigkeiten eine Zildjan K HiHat in 13" bespielt (im Wesentlichen für Stoner-Rock). Die war schon nicht schlecht - aber insgesamt war sie mir einfach etwas zu dumpf, da war nichts Spritziges zu hören... Kurz und gut: Ich wollte was Neues!

Dafür habe ich diverse HiHats im Laden gegeneinander verglichen und die Zultan 14" HiHat Medium Dark Matter hat den Vergleich gewonnen. Wie immer ist die Bewertung des Klanges schwierig, da hier viel persönliches Empfinden mitspielt.

Die Dark Matter HiHat hat einen insgesamt eher dunklen Ton, klingt aber selbst kräftig zugetreten nicht dumpf oder mulmig, sondern bringt immer genügend Klirren mit. Generell bringt sie genügend Höhen mit, ohne im Gesamtklang zu hohe Frequenzen zu besetzen. Damit setzt sie sich im Mix definitiv besser durch, ohne dabei zu auffällig zu sein (weder tonal noch von der Lautstärke her). Gut gefallen hat mir außerdem, dass man mit der richtigen Feinjustage per Fuß wirklich schönes, lang anhaltendes Zischeln hinbekommt - und das wirklich gut variieren kann.

Negativ finde ich lediglich, dass die HiHat, mit der Spitze des Sticks gespielt, über den gesamten Radius angespielt ziemlich identische Sounds von sich gibt. In dem Bereich waren andere HiHats deutlich besser.

c'est le second que je possède, le premier s'est fendu après une 50/60 concerts + les répètes
j'y suis retourné pensant que c'était peut-être un défaut de fabrication, le second approche la quarantaine de concerts
