found a Twin replacement

such a great idea. all valve twin channel modules. add this to the syn 30 Head and you have 3 channels. easy to sap the modules.

add in a syn2 and another module say the Diezel vh4, and you have a 5 tube, 4 channel all valve preamp.

the T/DLX offers really nice cleans on the blue channel reminding me of a Fender twin with a nice country twang, with the red channel giving the overdriven dirt combo sound. Adjust the 2 switches for even more tonal variation.

A great clean Preamp module

I use it after a distortion pedal which gives a lot of gain, so it was crucial to find the best clean amp to connect to and keep the clarity of the guitar tone.
Nice tight and bright toggles, they really make difference. also , the EQ gives certain changes in character.
If you combine it with a hi-gain module (i.e. Soldano SLO), you have the complete set of options in your rig.

Zugegeben: ich besitze keinen Twin Reverb. Nur einen alten Champ, recht regelmäßig mit max Volume bespielt zur Freude meiner Nachbarn (das meine ich hier ernst). Kann ich mitreden? Vielleicht zählt, dass ich nicht nur einen alten Champ besitze.

Der Sound von Kanal 1 ist grandios über DI. Das klingt erwachsener als mein Champ, was sicherlich an der Speaker-Simulation liegt. Es klingt eben wie ein Twin. Mehr muss ich im Grunde nicht schreiben. Also erste Kaufempfehlung: besorgt Euch einen Twin, der in die Bude passt und den Rücken schont.

Kanal 2 hat von Vornherein mehr Gain. Kann man runterregeln, aber ich persönlich brauche das nicht. Trotzdem interessant.

Und das ist es eben: es wird mehr geboten als man braucht. Jeder sollte wissen, was er will. Aber die Qualität des Gebotenen ist derart exorbitant, dass es für einen Gourmet kein Vorbei gibt. Finale Kaufempfehlung.
