Millenium DW Fusion Hickory -Wood-

Le ho acquistate per il prezzo, ma quando le ho provate mi sono piaciute subito, sono poco più lunghe e più larghe delle 5a ma non sono più pesanti. Sono ben bilanciate anche se tra le due bacchette percepisco una leggerissima differenza, ma è una cosa che mi capita anche con altre marche più costose. La punta ha un bel suono sui piatti, soprattutto il ride ed essendo più lunga e larga delle 5a anche il suono sui tom è pieno e corposo. E' un buon compromesso per chi cerca questo tipo di combinazione. La finitura non è pregiata come altre marche ma non influisce nel suonare. Purtroppo con il sudore delle mani l'inchiostro del logo si è sciolto, praticamente nelle mie mani, spero non sia tossico ; )

I really love these sticks. I play a variety of different styles and they seem to fit all the bills. They're nicely balanced and have a lovely weight and density in the hand. Not too big and not too small, they're rather like the old Pro-Mark 3A which I used for decades (unfortunately Pro-Mark stopped making those). They're also un-pretentious sticks. Normal wood colour, no superstar signature, no plastic tips... they're very use-able, reasonably priced, comfortable drumsticks. My new favourite!

Habe das DW Modell von Vic Firth, Agner und Millenium getestet, weil dieses Modell für mich ideal ist.

Vic Firth ist gut! Leider hinterlässt die rote Farbe Spuren auf den weissen Fellen, wenn man den Stock mal verkehrt rum spielt.

Agner Modell: Hatte mal ein 12er-Pack davon. Leider waren einige Stöcke krumm - geht gar nicht!

Millenium: Angenehme Lackierung, flutscht nicht in der Hand. Sind auch nicht weniger stabil als Vic Firth und Agner. Die Pärchen sind nicht gerade feinfühlig auf das Gewicht miteinander abgestimmt.

Ich empfehle, auch des Preises wegen, den Millenium-Stock. Am besten gleich mind. 10 Paar bestellen und dann jeweils passende 2 Stöcke zu einem "gematchten" Paar zusammenfügen. Dazu die Stöcke mit der Küchenwaage wägen und/oder auf den Ton des Stockes hören (den Stock dazu locker in die offene Handfläcke schlagen) und so immer 2 Stöcke zusammen nehmen, die von der Tonhöhe einigermassen zusammen passen. Auch auf einem Becken hört man den Unterschied zw. 2 Stöcken sehr gut.
