I prefer the sound of this Magistral to a classical guitar I own that is twice the price of this model. There is a long ring to notes, it projects really well, it is well balanced across the strings and generally has a very pleasing open sound. There a slight dull ring around G/Gsharp, it's that slight I wouldn't call it a dead spot though...I'm pointing this out as a good thing as so many classicals I've owned have had serious dead spots. including a very expensive model. I've owned a dozen or so classicals and the sound on this guitar is the best I've ever heard at this price by far. The build is good, the factory finish wasn't. The label inside the guitar was slapped on in a rush by the looks of it and is crooked.. I got in touch with a local luthier and he said there's nothing he can do about this. Every time I pick the guitar off the wall I notice this crooked sloppy positioning of the label, this bothers me. The edges of the frets were the worst I've had with any guitar at any price, sticking out and sharp along the entire length of both sides of the neck. Luckily I know how to sort this out. Those flaws mean I cant give it full marks but as the sound is so exceptional for the price I still recommend it without reservation. This guitar at this price cannot be beaten. I had this guitar for a week. The Classical Guitar professor at college feels it is a very nice guitar and was surprised of the low price for such a quality sound. I like the tone. Can't go wrong for this Price. Handmade in Europe most likely Romania. Probably what keeps the cost reasonable. Solid wood. Very good wood. Rosewood and Cedar with ebony fretboards. Not bad. The tuning pegs may seem a little cheap. But they do the job.

Habe diese Gitarre vor ca. 6 Monaten gekauft und bin immer noch sehr zufrieden und spiele sie täglich. Ein Instrumentenbauer hat sie mir empfohlen als preisgünstigere (und schlichtere) Alternative zu seinen deutlich teueren selbstgefertigten. Seit der Coronazeit habe ich wieder mit dem Spielen und Unterricht begonnen, vorher hatte ich nur noch eine Sperrholzgitarre. Das ist nun ein richtiges Instrument mit Charakter! Die Saitenlage war auch für mich zu hoch eingestellt, obwohl standardmäßig von den reinen Maßen korrekt, wie der Gitarrenbauer versicherte.
Der Klang ist für meine Ohren wunderschön, die Bässe wunderbar warm, kräftig und sonor und durch die Zederndecke sprechen sie von Beginn an leicht und schnell an. Sie bietet eine gute Dynamik; die Bindungen (Legato) mit der linken Hand klingen außergewöhnlich deutlich und kräftig. Mittel- und Diskantstimmen sind deutlich, weich und leicht verschwommen. Für mich kommt diese Gitarre vom Klang (fast) an die Hannika-56 PC heran, die deutlich teurer ist, dafür aber auch deutlich leichter - die Magistral ist ein relativ schweres Instrument, solide verarbeitet und riecht heute noch toll nach dem Zargen- und Deckenholz.
Also Preis-Leistung: Kaufempfehlung! - Ich selbst würde mich allerdings beim nächsten Gitarrenkauf nach Alternativen mit ökologisch zertifizierten Klanghölzern umsehen oder mindestens auf den Wallnuss-Corpus ausweichen (Magistral E-C).
NACHTRAG nach 2,5 Jahren: habe mir nach Durcharbeiten eines dicken Heftes Mittelstufe-Etüden mit meiner Magistral noch eine Höfner Greenline HM-87-SE gekauft (Fichtendecke, Wallnusscorpus): der Diskant
ist hier brillianter, differenzierter, definierter und "singender", aber dafür etwas "spitzer" ; die Mitten etwas kräftiger - was für viele Renaissance- und Barockstücke, die ich am liebsten spiele, für mich klanglich besser passt. Ich nutze jetzt beide Gitarren oft an einem Musikstück, was dann je nach Instrument eine besondere, etwas andere Stimmung und Färbung bekommt. Ich kann die Magistral (Zederndecke) weiterhin nur empfehlen!
