As what i was expecting. A great guitar!

Very good building quality. Great sustain and very easy to play.Tuning stability came 2 days after unboxing due to shipment along 3 countries. The feeling of the neck with satin finish is suberb. Pickup wise, the v-mods are very useable pickups either for clean or driven channels. Even the bridge pickup!!. The only cons are:
I wish it had 10s. It sounds a little bit thin on the first string.
It needs setup regarding the floating trem for my preferences but it is OK. 5 stars from me.
Finaly I want to thank Thomann guys and girls for the support.

Great guitar

Best working man guitar around. If you want to have an American of course.
If you don't care of a more modern approach go for this one, otherwise, if you like more of a vintage feel, wait and save a bit for the American Vintage II.

These are really good guitars

Plays and feels like a modern guitar, looks and sounds like a strat. The guitar looks much better than it does in pictures and I just simply cannot put it down. Restring this badboy with some 10 gauge strings and you have yourself a stellar guitar!

Die Strat, der Klassiker

Mit 16 habe ich mal von meinem Vater eine schwarzweise Squier Strat geschenkt erhalten. Jetzt nach 32 Jahren habe ich mir endlich einmal das Original gegönnt und ich bin absolut geflashed. Es ist einfach nur schon toll diese wunderschöne Gitarre in den Händen zu halten. Die Fender Strat ist sehr gut ausbalanciert. Keine rauhen Ecken oder Kanten sondern alles total geschmeidig. Die Hand gleitet sanft über den satinierten Hals. Der Roasted Maple Neck sieht einfach toll aus. Alles total schön verarbeitet so wie ich mir das von einer US Fender erhofft hatte. Der Klang ist allererste Sahne in allen 5 Positionen. Der typisch glasige Klang der Single Coil Pickups ist einfach der Hammer. Und der Push-Pull in der Stegposition, der den Halstonabnehmer mit dazu schaltet bringt ein neues, überragendes Klangerlebnis, das einen selbst zu Hause im Soundzimmer gleich gedanklich auf eine grosse Bühne versetzt. Ein Instrument der absoluten Spitzenklasse. Danke Fender für dieses tolle, zeitlose Instrument. Nur schade, dass nicht serienmässig auf allen US Fender Gitarren Locking Tuner ab Werk installiert werden. Die habe ich jetzt halt nachträglich selber montiert.
