excellent guitar

I have always liked ESP Guitars. ESP, E-II, LTD and this one doesn't disappoint. The specs are already saying "buy me". Excellent craftsmanship and quality control. No visual faults, no sharp fret-ends, nothing.
FF pups divide opinion. I have mostly used EMGs so both visually and soundwise I would say they perform great as higher gain metal pups. I mostly use it on active voicing so can't comment much on comparing voices 1 and 2.
Go and watch Josh's own comments. He explains it spot on ... I can only agree with a smile on my face. Excellent guitar.
If I had to find one criticism, the reverse headstock and the really close tuners make it a bit hard to tune in a hurry. No issue at home but on a dark stage, you'd have to feel your way around to the tuners and not have big, fat fingers.
Great work from Thomann as well. When I ordered, it was in stock on the day. I received the guitar in 11 calendar days with no issues and packaged perfectly (all the way to Istanbul).

Very comfortable to play from riffs to solos. Very ergonomic with the recessed bridge.

Abzüge für Aussehen und Set up.

Vielleicht habe ich unnatürliche Erwartungen an eine 1500€ Gitarre und das ist was man inzwischen für das Geld bekommt, aber irgendwie fühlt sich die Gitarre nicht nach mehr als einem Ok an.

Die Fishmans klingen super, die eingelassene Tom Bridge macht Spaß und der Hals ist ein Träumchen, und relativ Stimmstabil ist die Geige auch.

Dass neue Gitarren mit einem schlechten Set-Up ankommen ist ja normal aber dennoch schade.

Was specs angeht würde ich ein paar Punkte abziehen für den Plastik Sattel welcher das Greifen im ersten Bund schwierig macht.

Und was die Verarbeitung angeht. Grobe Mängel habe ich keine, dennoch das Braun sieht leider nicht so schön „Tabak Braun“ wie auf vielen Bildern aus sondern leider eher wie ein „Durchfall-Braun“ und an einer Stelle wurde durch das Ahorn Veneer poliert wodurch es im Licht an der Stelle durchsichtig ist.

Dazu sei noch erwähnt dass die Gitarre auch nach dem Set up zwischen dem 12-17 Bund in etwa einen Sound erzeugt der an Lars Ulrichs Snaredrum erinnert und dass zudem der hintere Pickup manchmal stottert, wenn man vom vorderen auf ihn wechselt.

Die Balance der Gitarre ist ebenfalls nicht sonderlich gut, aber dass regeln und Zweifel ein paar Auswuchtgewichte im Elektronikfach.

Klares meh… zu dem Preis keine Kaufempfehlung.

Super Metalgitarre, spielt locker in der ESP E2 Liga

Ich habe lange mit mir gerungen ob ich wirklich > 1400 € für eine LTD ausgeben soll. Jedoch beim ersten öffnen des ESP Koffers wurde ich nicht enttäuscht. Die Gitarre ist wahnsinnig gut verarbeitet! Durch die versenkte Brücke schmiegt sie sich wunderbar an den Körper.
Der Sound und der Attack sind sehr druckvoll/direkt. Ich benutze die Gitarre hauptsächlich in Drop C Tunning und finde hier ist sie zu Hause.
Einzigster Wehrmutstropfen ist und bleibt das LTD am Kopf und die Werkseinstellung (Saitenlage, Halskrümmung) war leider nicht so gut.
Aber mit ein paar Handgriffen spielt sie sich super!
