Great mute at rock bottom price!

This adjustable cup mute is sweet toned and tuneful. It produces a wide range of sounds of varying tone and volume and the soft rim of the cup doesn't mark the bell of the horn. Used without the cup, it has a bold tone as a straight mute. Hard wearing, the colours give it a smart appearance, and make it easy to find on gigs. You could pay a lot more and get no better performance.

This mute is very good value and and has a lovely sound very reminiscent of players from the 50s and 60's fopr example Miles Davis on the recording of Solar.

Ich habe mir diesen Dämpfer für den Trompeter meiner Schulband gekauft. Leider war er schon vor dem ersten Auftritt nicht mehr einsatzfähig, da 2 der Korkplättchen, die den Dämpfer im Schalltrichter festhalten sollen verloren gingen.
Natürlich kann es auch mit der Benutzung durch meinen Trompeter zusammenhängen, er ist 14 und nicht zimperlich im Umgang mit seinen Sachen, aber ein bisschen was sollte so ein Dämpfer doch aushalten, zumal er doch eh aus Kunststoff ist. Sound und Ansprache sollen gar nicht so schlecht sein. Der abnehmbare vordere Teil ist im aufgesteckten Zustand nicht verwendbar, da der Dämpfer zu tief im Trichter seiner Trompete verschwindet, als dass der vordere Teil noch aufgesteckt bleiben könnte. Vielleicht eignet sich die Kombination nur für Jazztrompeten?
