Great drum. Some mediocre cost cuts

Great sounding drum. Really heavy so you'll need a decent stand. Head changes are as easy as the YouTube videos show, as is the tuning.
Not sure what heads they came with. They have the dialtune logo but nothing else which makes me wonder if they're cheap and will break soon. No sticker or bar code on the rims, like Evans have. For a drum this expensive I expect better. The snare throw off is pretty mediocre. It works fine, but the knob that changes the
wire tension feels rough and cheap. Again, for an expensive drum. I expect better.
On running my fingers around the inner rim of the batter counter hoop, the feel was bobbly in places. Not sharp, just bobbly. Again. I'd expect much better.
I think the head tension mechanism and ease of head change outweighs the rubbish throw off and (potentially) cheap heads but only just. I think dial tune can do better and shouldn't cost cut in this way.
