a
Essential Les Paul guitar upgrade!
Upgrading the potentiometers in any guitar can have big influence on sound (by my experiences and ear). Using quality potentiometers is essential or much desired.
TAD products are now well known for their quality and consistency, since they take a bit more detailed QC.
Those CTS potentiometers made for TAD are of great built and quality. They will last and upgrade the sound of any LP style guitar where they are used.
The friction of the potentiometer is in the middle range. Not soft and not hard. But it's leaning towards soft friction.

Quality genuine CTS pots
Vintage taper means it has very low resistance when turning the knob. Some might not like that as it's not smooth/slow/buttery in feel like the ones on modern Gibson guitars...

CTS quality
If these are what fit your application then they will be fine.

So far so good
Quality is as expected. These rotate nicely without tacky and slimey resistance present on most other new pots. Out of the box feel is more like what you'd find in an old instrument. The taper is fine, but not perfect. 0-3 range does not feel as gradual as it should be, it's just a bit too jumpy on/off-kinda performance.
