When choosing between this and a Pearl Midtown the Sonor AQX Jungle won out with a cheaper price, more premium hardware and features and does a much better job at holding its tuning. Out of the box the drums were so easy to tune up and the cymbal mounting arm on the bass drum is very sturdy. The shells still fit the Pearl Midtown Cases making them incredibly portable and great for rehearsals and pub gigs where a quick setup and easy load in is favoured. The stock heads do the job but definitely can get a more premium sound by replacing.
