A frisson of excitement ran through my body when I gazed into the bottom of the Thomann shipping container and saw the Neutrik NV4 FD-L1 female panel-mount 4-pin connector peeking through the protective air-filled sacs. I quickly retrieved it and carried it over to the power supply that it was due to be installed in ? a hushed moment and ? yes ? the connector fit perfectly in the cutout I had painstakingly crafted earlier; Swiss engineering at its finest! The rest of the installation went smoothly: the rivets slid unhindered into the holes and, when riveted, sat flush in the perfectly machined Neutrik bevels; the connectors accepted my pre-tinned cables; the solder migrated quickly into the solder cups and a perfect electrical and mechanical connection was formed! And what a joy to use ? the 4-Pin male Neutrik connects perfectly with the NC4 FD-L1 ? the lock engages authoritatively and the plug feel is peerless, a solid weighty click and not a hint of play. Now my modular synthesisers have a new power supply with a dedicated custom multi-pin cable, thanks to Neutrik and Thomann!

Eigentlich hieße es "Eulen nach Athen tragen", wenn Produkte von Neutrik wie eine einfache 4polige Einbaukupplung zu bewerten ist, die Entwicklungsabteilung des bekannten Herstellers lässt nichts, aber auch garnichts anbrennen, da stimmt einfach alles: Konstruktion, Präzision, Verarbeitung, Kontaktmechanismus, verwendetes Material, Lötpfannen, Befestigungsvorrichtung - alles schlichtweg zu Ende gedacht und vom Feinsten und eigentlich damit auch preisgünstig und vor allen Dingen preiswert.

Ich bin keinesfalls ein Neutrik-Firmenmitarbeiter, die Produkte dieses Herstellers sind einfach nur uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert...
