Moeck 4105 Rottenburgh Sopranino
The 4105 Rottenburgh Sopranino is a excellently balanced instrument.
The upper half of the range is crystal clear and not too difficult to achieve. The lower range is mellow and rich in colour. However, I do have a fingering problem with bottom C/Csharp as it is not possible to radially adjust the position of
of the holes. I accept that having large hands doesn't help. Overall I am very pleased with my choice and can confirm that the careful selection of wood is a vital factor in achieving the quality of tone required.
I now have three sizes of Moeck Rottenburgh recorders all complete with beautiful, robust cases.
The service I received from Thomann was first class.
