Good stand for the price.
Tom5570, 30.05.2015
Purchased two of these stands to go on my practice kit and i have to say i am happy as they fulfill their roll. Very adjustable, they go up very high, they are perhaps a bit tall at the minimum setting for my liking, but I've learnt to live with this. On thing to note is that the screw at the top doubles as a cymbal protector and the threaded bit is therefore thinner than most stands and will not take regular wing nuts. Also make sure that you regularly tighten the small screw at the side of each 'level' as this is prone to loosening and falling out and therefore makes the stand swivel around.

I bought this stand 8 years ago along with Millenium CBS-718 Stage Boom Stand. Both still stand even they are used almost every weekend in all sort of weather conditions.
If anything goes wrong I'm buing these ones again.

Functional utilitarian stand
Paul1347, 05.03.2017
What can I say about this really, I bought it together with a 16 paiste crash cymbal and bag.

It's quite heavy and solidly built, it came with the felts and screws it seemed relatively easy to Adjust and set to different heights, the tripod style legs were at a good angle making it very stable, which together with the weight makes sure it is not going to fall over.

It must be quite hardy as I carted it round on a cart with two acoustic guitars a small amp , the cymbal and a mike stand, it was setup outdoors indoors on grass and paving and was no trouble, and assembled and packed away quickly. If you are on a budget it is a no brainer to buy this. I recently sold it to a young lad just starting out drumming and he was very pleased with it and I imagine it will give him many years good service like it did me busking or at local jam nights

Affordable and it does the job quite well
14.03.2016
I bought three stands of this Millenium line (this one, one for Hit-Hats and another for a Ride Cymbal) for my first custom drum set.
Well, I must say that you usally get what you pay for: the stand isn't amazing but it does the job in a superb way. It stays in position and it's relatively easy to handle with the clamps.
The only complain I have is in the topper memory clamp - it resists to the movement, and got a little bit loose by now (probably because it has been used too many times).
You can perfectly use heavy cymbals. You may want to glue the rubbers on the bottom because they probably are going to fall.
The delivery was very good and quick. In this range of prices it's surelly one of the best options if you want a reliable stand for your cymbals.

Pretty basic but reliable at the same time
Sebadasta, 07.04.2021
No big science behind this stand but it does the job perfectly well. It's very easy to set the desire position and so far it hasn't moved so I'm happy with it!

Really Nice quality
01.03.2017
I bought this stand expecting to have very low quality due to the price. I was really surprised when I got i, just to realize it is really good!

I needed a new cymbal stand because the original that came with the drumset got broke, and when I saw this one for the price I gave it a shot. I must say it is really sturdy and can hold on to my drumming, where I bang my cymbals really hard.

I only play at home, so I cannot say if it will survive the gigs, but for now I'm really happy with it and would buy another one if needed.

Why pay more for a stand it this has what it takes for much less?

Excellent Value
Andrew5518, 06.01.2015
Use this stand in a live environment often and it has stood the rigors of playing very well. Purchased initially because it was the most affordable stand I wasn't expecting much however on receiving the item I was pleasantly surprised with its sturdy construction. For the gigging musician who's gear is getting stripped down, bagged up, chucked into vans etc the Millenium products offer great build quality at a very affordable price. Much better than the branded stands I was replacing. I have since bought more Millenium products and was equally impressed with them. As always the service from Thomann was excellent and delivery was quick and easy. I would recommend these products definitely.

At this Price I am Impressed!
15.07.2014
I initially bought this item in a hurry to use with the Millenium Multi-Clamp. I was looking for something that I could use on stage to support my Korg PadKontrol and this was the only item that I could find that wasn't overly expensive (the Roland alternative is around £80). I was initially concerned that, for the price, the stand may not be all that sturdy but having taken it on the road and used it a few gigs already I must say that I am VERY impressed with the stand so far. Everything feels solid and stable and the nuts/bolts etc feel very sturdy and long lasting.
I would recommend this and the clamp - especially in the bundle!

Does what it's supposed to
Chri5-HT, 17.08.2019
TL;DR: it's functional.

I use it as a ride cymbal stand.

I've never really seem the point of buying expensive hardware stand (except for kick-pedals and high-hats). If it's perfectly functional, it's grand.

It's pretty basic, and heavy (maybe a good thing)

Works great for a 16" crash
Niko A, 27.12.2017
I have used this a year before reviewing. I really do not have complaints about this stand when taking the price to account. The lock in the tilting part has failed maybe five times in a year so just keep in mind to tighten it properly. If this was like 60¤ stand this would be unacceptable. But this has never fallen down or anything like that and I have always got it to the position I want it to.

Built to last
az.ihsan, 23.11.2017
having this cymbal and i would say this is great stand!!

i use also for stage performance sometimes, still stand tough!! Easy to handle and also stable as music gets harder.

the const i might saya maybe in the hardware screw, it just not as smooth when you tight and sometimes its hard to unrelease, you have to give an extra energy.

thx thomann!

Nice stand for light things.

I use it only on straight position for the Alesis sample pad pro, and it works very well. For heavier things the stability is not so good.

Good enough for most uses
03.03.2017
I am constantly amazed at the quality of MIllenium products - it's on par with several times more expensive staff!
I own both CS-718 and CS-901 (Pro), and although I'd recommend the Pro one, I have to say that CS-718 is perfectly fine for most uses - the quality of this one is good and if You can't afford CS-901 - buy this one, You won't be dissapointed!

Sturdy and good cymbalstand
Walt123, 31.07.2018
I've just bought this stand and when it arrived I was surprised by the weight of it. When I opened the package it was very good protected in its wrapping. It was very easy to assemble and there were even memory-locks on it. That was a thing I didn't expect on it because of the price. Price/quality this is sure a very good cymbal stand and it is stable when you use it. I really would recommend it for straight cymbalstand at a price like this. Just get this one when you need a good and not to costly one. So thumbs up for this one.

Almost everything great with this stand, except...
Hector M., 16.10.2019
... the wingnut is not as advertised. It came with a plastic sleeve and a not very good looking metal wingnut. Besides of this aesthetic issue, the stand is sturdy and stable, and the price is of course unbeatable.

good product.
Stupuz, 24.05.2017
i wasn't so sure of this item and so wanted to give it a try..
well i must say i am satisfied with this product and it serves the purpose of which i bought. i will soon order for another one.
it is strong but not too heavy, easy to adjust , it doesn't move away or about when you crush on it or during playing unlike other brands. it is so solid, the neck doesn't bend even when you hit hard except maybe you didn't tighten it well.
it can be fixed in any position and also rust free.
price is excellent and for me it will be my number one.

Reliable stand with an amazing price
NikMartken, 15.08.2018
I bought a couple of this stand for keeping them in the practice room because I wanted something lightweight but sturdy enough to hold some heavy cymbals... Well, I was really surprised by the quality and the stability of these "cheap" stands: I truly believe that this hardware can hold venues pretty well, and also their weight is a good bonus.
Of course, this is not one of the top-end stands, but it does the job in a great way. Probably I will buy the boom version as well...

What I was looking for
FilipeMoreira, 18.07.2019
It's not great, the levels aren't really that easy to work arround, but for the price it works fine. If you're on a budget it's great. If not, maybe waste a bit more for a better stand.

The perfect stand...
Steve579, 16.12.2013
I was looking for a well made but cheap cymbal stand (hey, aren't we all?) and I was not disappointed when I bought the Millenium CS-718 Stage Cymbal Stand. Not sure how Millennium manage to do it but they do. They always offer bargain prices on outstanding products. For example, I live in England and it's still cheaper to buy the stand from Thomann. The stand is sturdy and very well made. The legs easily glide up the main body of the stand and it folds away to a conveniently compact size. It can extend quite far too so the height is easily adequate for most set ups. I'm very happy.

Decent budget stand, ideal for home use....
Wookie Ulrich, 13.10.2015
A cheap but effective cymbal stand ideal for a child's first kit and/or home use.
I easily managed to place a Stagg 17" DH China on this stand for live performances/studio, but wouldn't recommend for regular live work, die to the construction of the tubing, and quality of plastic cymbal seat/felts.
Great for simple uses though.
