Fantastic snare.

I've been playing this snare for almost a year and it is flawless. Really.
It is what we expect from a brand like DW at this price.

When played, one can understand the difference that a high end instrument like this makes. It feels expensive. It feels professional and reliable. There is a "weight" to our playing that makes the drums sound so much better. The snare does not disappoint.

Personally, I like die-cast hoops so I replaced the true hoops but it is a matter of preference. The snare is really good and there wasn't even the need to change the heads.

Best snare that I own and definitely recommended to anyone looking for one with an aluminum shell.
It is expensive but well worth it. Would buy again.

Un vrai petit bijou

J'étais à la recherche d'une caisse claire 13" en aluminium. Sur le site de Thomann c'est la seule que j'ai trouvé. J'ai pris mon courage à deux mains et j'ai commandé la DW sans trop savoir ou je mettais les pieds. D'un point de vue esthétique elle est juste magnifique. Côté son, j'ai donné un coup de baguette et je suis tombé à la renverse. Avec les peaux et le timbre d'origine ça sonne grave ! Lorsque j'installe ma Yamaha junior kit Manu Katché, je perçois les sourires en coin des gens mais quand j'attaque le soundcheck avec l'adjonction de cette caisse claire, plus un mot dans la salle. Un must, j'adore !

Puissante pour sa taille, cette snare est magnifique. L'alu est epais, l'usinage précis, et elle tien très bien l'accordage. A une extrémités du timbre se trouve un levier pour l'enlever et le retirer avec une molette de tension générale, et a l'autre extrémité un autre levier pour 3 positions de tension, ce qui donne beaucoup de possibilités de réglages.
Elle coute cher, mais j'ai trouvé la snare qui me suivra pendant des années.
