All my guitars sound great through this, recording using a mic is excellent, even recording straight off the headphone output is better than using effects pedals as preamps. As predominantly a bass player, I used to use my treble guitars through my bass head and a 2 by 12 cab thinking they sound pretty good, but now I realise what I've been missing. I've spent more money on pedals with the effects this combo has ,than I paid for the Boss Katana. Electro acoustic guitars sound pretty good too.

From glassy cleans to sick riff tones this amp has it all. Sure it's 50 Watts but that's 50 Watts plenty enough for practice or a small gig for that matter. The only thing missing on this would be an effects loop which they still reserve for the 100W models for some reason.

I got this amp after my old one broke and i got to say its amazing.
For context I have been playing guitar for a year and a half now and my old one was really bad so this is a huge upgrade for me. I love every aspect of the katana from the aesthetics to the range of tones i can achieve with it.
Overall its probably the best amp for beginners with the best value for its money. I totally recommend it!!!

I have wanted this guitar for about five years now, and I finally decided to get it during the Easter sale. I can say that I am not disappointed!

It has all the features you need from a modelling amplifier, especially for this cheap and sounds amazing if you dial it right! The editor capabilities on PC and Mobile are also a big plus.

In my opinion, this third generation sounds easily the best and has the best features of all three generations, since I have experience with all of them. It's definitely worth getting; it doesn't matter if it's the Artist or 100W; they are all great!

Why I find the Boss Katana 50 Gen 3 is great for beginners

My name is Kevin, and I wrote this to express my feelings towards the Boss Katana 50 Gen 3. I found it great to use. My only problem was that I could not update it's drivers for some apparent reason. It gives the buyer countless options such as a booster, delay, reverb, gain, and other effects to play around with. I recommend this amp, because its: Affordable. Easy to use, and gives countless options.

Spend most of my practice time,usually annoying my wife and neighbours with heavy riffs ...now I have the ultimate weapon!..This katana has everything,you can sell or throw away pedals, multi effects etc ..ok keep one as a foot switch..oh I almost forgot,the cleans are pretty nice too..Thanks thomann for the fast delivery
